Dreamers Don’t Sleep

if a dream lives inside you, it doesnt just mingle with your heart.
in the morning it wakes you and opens your eyes. you smile.
when you look in the mirror you see more than yourself.
you see a strength and a confidence and know that you are destined for greatness.

dreams run like blood through your body
and they propel you forward when others grow tired, sick and weak.
dreams make you jump on opportunity like the fox
but calculate your challenge like the lion

there is never enough time for dreams
because they are always multifaceted
as much time as you should spend in the studio
you should spend in the world giving your dream back

and when the sun sets and hearts quiet
the dream lights a fire inside you
that burns with such warmth
that others just long to be close to it

the dream is so tangible
you taste it on your tongue
it twirls forever in the mobile above your bed
and it knows no rest.

dreamers will starve without one
and with one will cross any distance
to follow it, keep it alive,
and accept its challenges.

they know no other way.
dreamers dont sleep.
they cant.
