JACKSON HOLE
AMY RINGHOLZ SOLO SHOW - RESONANCE
Altamira Fine Art Gallery
172 Center Street, Downtown Jackson across from Eleven Cafe. Thursday, August 5th, 5-7pm
This brand new collection of work was rooted in my abstract wildlife portraiture, bridged with the totem pole paintings I created last year, and has settled in the wonderful world of storytelling.
By combining the elements of design, pattern, movement, flow, composition and different animal species I have discovered the formula in which to tell stories from my heart. I have been using vintage turn-of-the-century posters, the art nouveau style, and fabric to inspire me.
Entitled Resonance, I want the show to intimately connect with you and impact you. I am enticing my audience with captivating paintings and soulful titles, and leaving the rest of the story up to you.
If you open yourself up to the power of the work, you will be rewarded with deep and wonderful stories of love, friendship, family, God, honor, of coming together and the pursuit of dreams.
Western Visions Miniatures and More Show and Sale Friday September 17, 2010
I am honored and thrilled to report that the Museum has asked me to be a part of their "sealed bid" room this year!
This wolf is entitled "Witching Hour" which is named after midnight when creatures of the night are most powerful.
I believe the painting showcases the true Ringholz style which is all my own, and displays my understanding of raw mark making, color, and abstraction. I am very proud of this piece! Come see it at the show!!! www.westernvisions.org
